Just want to buy a pair of Nike Air Pippen right now?While probably none of us regret anything that Michael Jordan has ever done for the game of basketball or for the sneaker community, there are probably a few Scottie Pippen fans that wish he had gotten a bit more of the spotlight which was so understandably given to Mr. Jordan. Scottie was often referred to as Michael’s sidekick but given the fact that Jordan always had the limelight shining directly on him, Scottie’s fame had to take a backseat. That still doesn’t reduce his accomplishments in the slightest though, especially all of his signature sneakers.

Original colorways of Air Pippen I from ‘back then’ are usually the first to fly off the shelves but new colorways tend to be hit or miss. Over the last 3-4 years when Nike was re-releasing in mass amounts almost every popular 90’s basketball and running shoe, we’ve seen some interesting color combos that were either instant hits or destined for the clearance racks. Some colors simply don’t work (hint: light green and neon pink on an Air Trainer Max ‘94 or an Air Jordan VIII in brown and pink). But for a shoe like the Nike Air Pippen 1, it’s the beautiful design of the shoe that owns the spotlight, and it doesn’t hurt that the white-orange colorway is pretty darn nice.

His original signature Nike Foamposite shoe had been resurrected from the Nike vault just a couple of years ago and now the OG version of the shoe is getting set to release. We think that it is a really great shoe and purchasing it will be a great way to support Scottie and remember him and his accomplishments.
